Roffle, I was being serious! It was a dream Razz

I got the message that its something that can hurt a lot of people and I have the power to stop it. The things going to keep hurting people until I do something about it, even if I might get killed in the process. (dramatic!)

Any ideas?

That was a pretty well written story. So much tension Exclamation and suspense. Surprised You should take up writing action novels. I can't wait for the sequel. Quick go back to bed so we can find out what happened next. Razz Very Happy

Since I couldn't find the other dream thread we have I'm going to nest in here for a moment Very Happy

I had a dream a few nights back which was mostly inspired by Mocking Bird. I was sitting in the park across ways from the church, it was a nice bright sunny day and i spyed myself a dog. I would usually bash any roam dog that I see if it starts on me so I was ready for some fun. (Im sorry dog lovers but this is what happened in the dream)

I noticed that the dog wasn't walking normal like, it was all erratic and didn't quite know where it was going. When it started to get closer I could see that it had a bit of a vacant look in its eyes and was frothing a bit. Rabies.

Another dog came over to it and the frothing dog suddenly gained its balance back and dived on the dog and started to attack it. The non-frothy dog tried to fight back but was killed almost striaght away from the rabies dog. The rabies dog began its slow hobble towards me and I knew what it had in mind.

Don't ask why i had one, but i pulled out my rifle, I always carried it around 'just in case.' I knew I only had one bullet and i needed to use it now. The dog was getting closer and closer and I tried to line up my shot. I knew that it wasn't just me in trouble here, if the rabies dog took out that other one, it can take out other people.

The dog was right in front of me, the vacant eyes looked so sad. It wasn't the dogs fault that he was like the way he was, it was the disease. I didn't want anyone else getting that disease even if it meant killing the dog. I aimed the best i could and pulled the trigger.

I woke up and don't know if i got him or he got me.

One of the most storylike dreams I've had. I have my own idea but what do you guys think?

Quit school, and spend all your time at Hungry Jacks.
If the dream happened during the day, then you can spend time at home during the night and so forth.
That's how you can force it upon yourself!

christian stuff, i'll accept a secular interpretation if i think it's on the mark.

i had two dreams last night, the first had a new-age spiritualist woman talking about her beliefs, her beliefs rather shallowly being that 'we should satisfy every desire and craving'... needless to say, the woman was overweight, though still she carried the persona of someone who proclaims themselves as being learned in spiritual matters. after she spoke and left the building we were in (venue is unimportant) i walked with her, and argued theology with her. God delivered her her questions, and i had swift confident answers to all her questions and arguments. basically, the 'debate' wasn't even fair.

the second dream was about a young boy, who professed evolution and atheism. he was a very angry young boy, possibly with an emotional disability, but he knew his material. again, in this dream, we argued. he argued evolution, i argued that the probability of the conventional theory of evolution being true is roughly 1x10^40,000 (that's a one with forty-thousand zeroes following it). he argued infinity theory, i argued genesis as being equally plausible. he argued that an eternal being cannot exist in a finite plane, i argued that it is plausible that God could live in what theoretical physicists call the tenth dimension, outside of and encompassing all of space-time... again, it didn't even seem fair that this boy, filled with 'wordly wisdom', came up against me and my God...

in both dreams, there is no conversion, but in both dreams it is clear that i already have all the answers. in my personal christian walk, god has never told me that i am to evangelise through open arguments like those in the dream, so i'm led to think that the dream is an FPS from someone else's persective, or that the situation reflects something entirely different.

i believe i've been spiritually gifted with understanding of dreams, yet these two escape me... so i'm getting it out.

Ha ha ha, usually... I'm that percent. (Sorry about the one-liner aswell, I'll try and add to it).

Also, pursue the person, but not too much... also, I think you should take which ever girl it is in the first dream to HJ's for the first date, if it comes to that... there's nothing more romantic then onion rings and free refills.

I had another one last night. There was a gap between Subway and Reflections Cafe (Booval) which led to a massive gaming arcade. As you walked further towards the back it turned more and more into a platformer. By the end it was very Prince of Persia-esque.

Now I was trying to dream similiar to the top post, someone else was also with me who I can't remember or not even sure if I knew but they were a generic male. The fact that I remembered both of these dreams so vividly and they are in relatively the same location could mean something.

I'm accepting religious angles on this too btw.

Wouldn't you describe it as that? Think back to the tele, the ads about how tired drivers die etc. With that strange doctor fella how he's on about these "micro-glitches" or whatever. I would interpret falling asleep to be like that, if the drivers slip into one of them there is no way to know what is happening or that it is even happening.

Think about sleeping, we close our eyes and think about something, but we dont realise that we're falling asleep until we wake up in the morning. We're falling in and out of a lapse of consciousness. If we're disturbed, we'll probably awake... etc.

We slip into a glitch of subconsciousness before we fall asleep, so there is no real way to know what we are thinking about before we sleep.

Yeah but Robbie, youth could have still been on your mind. You don't know what you think about before you fall asleep because if you try thinking about something you keep yourself awake.

It doesn't seem that complicated to me. Sounds like it's something that you want. Like maybe you subconsciously want a relationship. But yeah also what Adam said about last thoughts that run through your head before you fall asleep.

You haven't necessarily said anything other than stating the obvious there Eliza. Dreams are purely pscyhological, derr..and its your physical actions that end up chasing someone away, so in other terms, you screwed up Eliza and tried to blame it on your dreams somehow.

But, anyway, Shane and I have had some pretty interesting conversations about dreams, same with Debbie and I. We have figured that a lot of dreams are linked to what we have thought about before we fall asleep and that dreams are also based on a "what if" basis. So, chris perhaps you were relating Hungry Jacks to a place of comfort and enjoyment, and this unnamed other may be your "what if", "what if you could be with her in a time and place of happiness and comfort"

Anyway, thats how I see it, could be cola withdrawls.

Gah, I can't explain this very well.

I mean, don't look into it too much, 'cause you might end up trying to force it to come true, you know? It's happened to me before.
