Nice little song by Megadeth. My interpretation of it is that you give an average Joe power and he goes crazy.
However, I was having a look at other people's interpretations.
Check this out.

The Antichrist DOES NOT have to be a human, some in the latest generations believe that the antichrist is already upon us.....that antichrist is what we're using now.. Technology.
If you listen to this song and exploit it with true intellect rather than just listening and headbanging.. you will find that it MAY be about the rise of human's creations, which will indeed my dear friends be our ending.
We're in the stages of our own creations, technology..becoming smarter than we are.
One year.. machines will infact take over and become the dominant breed.. we, be our fate as pets or slaves..I would vote for being a pet.
Megadeth threw in a line about robots for one particular reason, it's been easy to see since the late 70s that man is on a course of self-extinction due to our creations.. it may seem like something from a science fiction movie, but believe me, every bit of it is true.
Scientists are working on a prototype A.I. or Artificial Intelligence, it's a prototype simply because it's smarter, and faster learning than the A.I. that we have already created.
There have been a number of rumors and even facts that Government's from around the globe has had conferences about their concerns of this new A.I. it's actually no secret to the public, you just have to be smart enough where to find your information.
The new A.I. is rumored to be the most advanced technology civilization has seen since the first G.C.N.C. otherwise known as the first Global Connection Network Computer's which ultimately changed the course of technology, allowing people from around the globe to contact one another in less than a second.
The new A.I. is also believed to be more sensative, meaning it can and will learn at an accelerated rate, it could possibly even learn emotions.. such as hate, love, or even the simple emotion of jealousy.
There has also been a number of reports concerning scientists giving future A.I.'s the ability to reproduce, otherwise known as breeding. If this happens my dear friends, it's over for the human civilization, if they give A.I.'s these abilities, with a massive scale of intelligence.... we will infact witness the rise of the true antichrist, and rest assured.....it's no mythical or biblical being, it's something of our own creation. |
I find that to be pretty interesting. Not sure whether I believe it or not, but interesting nonetheless.

something about Adam not being a cyborg... it just seems not right.
i know the antichrist is called a deciever, off the top of me head, and i know that someone wrote about there already having been a few antichrists, in the back end of the bible...
the very fact that it's called a deciever tells us that it would need to be a very clever robot indeed, and aside from that, i'll bet this article doesn't cite any sources pointing to the existence of this A.I.
so until my microwave starts trying to feed christians to the lions until Caesar is satisfied, i'm gonna keep my hammer for the more organic threats...

I actually agree with the song... For my memory about Megadeth, they have a few Christian band members too (besides Dave Mustaine)... I'll look further into it
Apparently Killswitch Engage are of Christianf faith too
