I can not log on to MSN because it is saying some stuff
"Failed to connect to the service. This could be due to improper proxy or firewall settings. Please review your proxy and firewall settings. Proxy can be accessed through MSN Messenger Options. For Firewall options, please see the retailers instructions"
I dont understand it... I tried looking... But I still can not get on.. I need some help

I was using MSN 7.5 then I just recently installed Windows Live Messenger... But the same problem perists with both Messengers..
It says something about my firewall settings...

Well well well Jim. Should i help you or not. Afterall you diss nerds. Yet now you need a nerd to solve your problem.
Go to control panel > windows firewall and turn the shithead off.
If problem still persists. Get rid of any norton shit or mcafee or trend micro. Whatever you have. Problem solvered. |

You don't need Norton. No one needs anti-virus unless you look at dodgy stuff. I barely have any anti-virus and I'm still here.

I turned the Firewall off... Nothing... Should I turn the firewall off then restart the computer?

| At least disable nortons internet protection feature. For starters its a heap of shit. Try disabling it until next boot up. After youve turned it off try msn. |
