Quote:
Excerpt from V.A's wifes wedding vow:
You're everything I am, and all of what I need..

For just a moment, close your eyes and imagine.

Imagine you have a partner in life you love more than anything in existance. Imagine this partner in life is your wife, girlfriend, bar buddy, comrade, lover.. whatever you refer to her as..

Imagine this partner is with you through it all; great days, bad days, dirty socks on floor, skid-marked underwear, didn't flush toilet, stayed home from work sick, grandpa just died, moms got cancer, dad was laid off..

Imagine everything you've ever fought, or cried, or wished, prayed, sweat, bled or hoped for takes the embodiment of this one person who completes your lifes puzzle more than anything else.

Imagine this person accepts you unconditionally not for what you are, or what you were, but WHO you are right now, at this moment, and for what you may become. It becomes so easy to walk away from a relationship when it gets rocky. Someone once said, "Anybody can die for someone... but to LIVE for someone, that takes courage".

Quote:
Said by V.A. to his wife:
The greatest thing about you waking up next to me... is that you don't have to

Imagine that.. for just one year.. Divorce and Adultry were erased, just one. "Till Death do us part" fulfilled, "In sickness and in health, for better or for worse" made whole. Lifelong partners were truely lifelong partners, and soulmates really did exist.

Imagine the most recent fight you had with your significant other, in vivid detail, from beginning to end, and ask yourself this, "If my significant other RIGHT NOW suffered sudden, instant, and immedient death, would whatever we're fighting over be justified?".

Imagine for a moment..all the things you could be doing right now to make your significant others life better..happier..more worthwhile to live, but are not. Imagine them, and ask yourself, "Why?"..

Imagine...

Okay, so sure this is a copy and paste. But I've been thinking pretty hard about this. How devastating small arguements can be to any relationship, whether it be with family or friends. Just read over that and keep this in mind next time you're in the midst of such a pettty arguement. Keep in mind how traumatic it would be if they were to die 10 mins after that arguement, think about how you could have prevented it, think from now on that you dont want to regret anything anymore.

Very good post Adam.
I understand what you're saying,
And I fully agree.

That is why, if I ever had a fight with my significant other, I wouldn't ever see it as the end to a relationship, or something of that nature.

Oh, trust me, I do keep that in mind. Always have.

First off, thank you.... But I can't see the sense in that either, I question why people break up sometimes over small problems. I was even thinking before, I wasn't feeling too good and then I went out to change a fuse, then I was thinking to myself, what if I had an electric shock.....or something nasty like that, something that maybe hospitalised me. I know i'd have a problem with myself about today. I always think there is a solution to the situation, which i'm trying to work on I guess. Even if it means swallowing my pride or something.

Which do you feel is better? Self satisfaction or someone elses satisfaction about what has happened?

that's what i always thought, if you leave an argument unresolved, and something real bad happens, death or injury, then your last memory is of the argument. the argument with the one you loved. and i know, if after i had told my mother to 'get the hell out of my life, i need a fucken job and i'll take any i can get.' and some shit happened to her, i'd be pretty screwed up...
