What do you use and why? I use Winamp because it's a lot more secure than WMP and iTunes, as well as having a good module system and extreme customisation. As well as not being a RAM whore.

I am a massive fan of Winamp. The customisable skins and you can see how many times your songs have been played etc... Not to mention the ability to play soo many more formats of music

JetAUDIO.

Really good program in my opinion. You can rip CDs, convert audio and video, record, burn CDs and all this other stuff. It's not hard to use either.
Smile Yeah.

Oh, does it convert as well? Nice.

Just adding to that, NORMALLY I use VLC Media Player for video, although whatever that doesn't support goes to smplayer.

I use winamp simply because Its got a nice layout, plus the extensive file formats that it plays. I love the skinning capabilities. I like it plugins system that has been nicely integrated. Also its not a ram hog like Itunes and WMP. Also I keep my system with minimal Microsoft programs installed to have a generally cleaner system.

It's built in Chris. I downloaded it, and it had a converter. For some reason, mp3 isn't there... not sure why, but I should be able to sort that out. Lol.

I only downloaded the basic JetAUDIO so that's probably why all the functionalities aren't complete.

EDIT: Confirmed. I don't have all functions due to basic package. *tries to find the new plus version without paying money*

I am officially the only person to use iTunes. Why? Because I'm too lazt to download winamp, and because it has all the songs that I regularly listen to it there at the moment.

I use WMP11 and Winamp, so there! *pokes tongue out*

wmp is my all purpose player/music cd burner, minimises out of the way, library doesn't matter (run everything off the server, i just right click folders and hit play), don't need to have a run around for msn display (yes i'm lazy Smile). wmp also plays my videos (winamp sucks in that aspect).

Then what's left for winamp? shoutcast

I also use MPC for any dvds and vcds

I use WMP. I don't really like winamp, it's got too many separate windows, for no reason. Like, why not just have your playlists, music library and such in the same bloody window.

There are just as many customizable skins for WMP than there is for winamp. I posted a screenshot of my sexy one not long ago.

And WMP is probably the most familiar to everyone, as its defaulted on most computers, therefore it's quick and piss to use.

Overall, the program plays music the way I want it to, and I'm happy.

iTunes,
counts the number of songs i have.
and easily to find them without having to fuck around in winamp and categorize/playlist them.
