guys, it's not a good idea to underestimate him...

really, you take a look at the world, all the death, destruction, war, sickness, and say that satan is nothing. you can say it in faith, pray to reduce his power, but you can't say that that's what's happening now.

Pray for your enemies. I think even pure evil is capable of salvation.

satan has already been sentenced, this was before the fall of man. (every time i read that i get something new) ...the tricks of satan are revenge attacks against god.

how do you attack a divine being? you attack the ones he loves... and that's what's been happening ever since man became obediant to sin until now. christ broke that power, made a Way to overcome it, but it's still hard to travel it...

i've been trying to learn as much as i can about the natures of certain important figures/beings/event/etc in the spiritual realm, well, you wouldn't go into battle before you knew: your leaders (trinity, angels), your weapons (and those of your chums), your enemies, and their weapons.

otherwise how would you know the best way to use your weapons? how to counter the schemes of the enemy?

That is exactly what we need!!! We know our leaders, we have our weapons (some still might not know there own).. The question then is what is the next step????.....

Its fellowship.. we need to know each other in our army so that we can help them when they get wounded. At the end of Galations it talks about carrying each others burdens.. we need to talk about our weaknesses.. not only confessing them to God.. but sharing them with others. Its not all about "weapons" and stengths.. its about making our weaknesses, our own strength and not satans.

Fellowship.. Fellowship.. Fellowship... the book of Acts.

"When two or more gather together in my name, i will be there in the midst"

Thats whats special about it.. the holy spirit.. jesus's spirit is in us everywhere we go.. but when we gather together in his "name" serving him with love and fellowship amongst our selfs.. you get urself a "Three Day Youth Camp" anywhere you are. Its prayer.. and a deep prayer that does it.

Lets start to pull down these walls that the devil is putting up.. cause "I WANT IT BACK"

Im not ashamed of the gospel!!!

And i dont think any of thous who are in christ should be... If so i want to hear your reason?

norman, i presume?

that stuff about weaknesses, making them strengths, you find that in christ. he allowed himself to die according to god's will (important part, according to god's will), and we can see the strength of christ through that.

you take our weaknesses, use them to your own advantage. if it be not knowing when to shutup, maybe be a street preacher?

I dont think your getting my overall point..

Christ takes our weakness's and over time he helps us overcome them and make them our strengths..

But see if we are in an army.. we need to know each others weakness's (medical conditions being the main one) so that others can understand them and help them when needed.

My main point was fellowship and how to start a foundation in Christ with each other and him in our midst..

So that people dont feel they are alone in there fight with the Devil.. and that its not just Christ thats there but us... i would recomend reading my previous post again Elliot because i know there is alot there that realy needs to be taken in.. its all in agreeance to what the letter's in the NT say.

we already have a foundation with christ, together? i put it forth that knowing each other isn't as important as knowing christ.

sure, you need to have some sort of knowledge of each other as people, but i'd rather just get into it.

norman, you also should realise that, without distraction, i am very absorbent to information. i read it once, i respond to the parts that i deem worthy of further absorbtion. maybe i'll read over it again in a few days, and respond further as my taste changes, but after that it's stuck right in my head.

Its all good...

I just think it helps when we lift each other up to Christ through fellowship.. that way we can start to built more trust in each other.

Yeah..And also sharing anything you find in the Bible that really speaks to you, that is also an awesome thing to do, to share and minister to one another.

yeah, that's what we were doing today.

edification
prayer
worship
fellowship
ministry.

that's what it is (i've missed something, i know it) to be an active christian, a good soldier, at least to me... but you have other things, internal things, like love thy neighbour and stuff, but that sorta comes under edification... meh.
Guys...

I got the sign.. that I was looking for...
I can't stop crying.. I'm in disbelief..
it'll be a month tomorrow since you posted that. you can't possibly imagine what an awesome priviledge it was to be touched like that, i'm chasing something awesome like that at the moment, and i know when i get it, i won't wait a month before acting on it. the story will get out, i will learn from it, i will change from it. and i won't be shy at all of wanting more.

i've been slain in the spirit, i've had chills so my legs wouldn't support me. i get smaller chills on a daily basis, *pause*, there goes one just now...

but yeah, none of that's really important. because recieving 'gifts' from god is nothing compared to the ultimate gift of KNOWING GOD!!!

i'd really like to know what you have to lose by going to youth or getting prayed over.

Elliot. I don't think you understand this, no matter how many times I say it.

I CAN'T go to Youth. And I HAVE asked to be prayed over.
The first can't be changed at this time, and the second, well, I would actually like Shane to do it. Just waiting for him, really.

No he told me to "be careful", and he thought that me wanting to get into all of this was because of peer pressure. He told me I can believe in it if I want, but I don't think he was too pleased at the idea, by his tone.

Eliza,

You seem to think that all this church/youth business is overrated.

You don't seem to understand that you aren't the only ones whose parents don't approve.

And if you can convince your dad to go to pancakes/plays I am sure you can convince him to go to youth.

You see, you really really really wanted to go to those places, do you really really really want to go to youth?

God is testing you, and at the moment you are failing.

He touched you in the most powerful way, yet you have almost forgotten about Him. It's not only you, but you asked us to help you, this is what you wanted, this is what we are going to do. Have you even asked your dad if you can go to youth? I was the same with my parents, i always feared asking them, but once I did it was fine with them, they also gave me the whole lecture about getting involved. What is more IMPORTANT? Knowing God or hiding your Christianity from your dad?

You can't keep relying on thoih and your group of friends to have God always in your heart. You've been trying for a month and already you have grown so far away from God that it devastates me.

Go to church, go to youth. Listen to some people whose occupation, whose main passion in life is for God, people who have know Him for more than a year.

And possibly what is stopping you getting to God is a test, whether you are prepared for the consequences of asking your dad if you can go to church.

And don't ever say again that you can't, I know you can and so do you.

See you Sunday.

And that thing... that thing that's stopping you wanting to go to youth, that thing that's making you afraid, that thing is the devil.

Alright, I've had a talk to Shane.

I am going to go to youth, next time it's on, IF I'm allowed.
After that, I don't want anyone bugging me about going again, because I'll be going, perhaps only once, depending on how I like it...

Sorry if this seems blunt or whatever. I'm just not in a very good mood right now.

Yay Very Happy.

And if you're not allowed what are you going to do? Give up or fight for your right to be with God just like you fought for your right for pancakes? I certainly hope so.

And yeah I don't see how you couldn't like it, why do you think that you won't? We go there, we can clear a few things up for you if you like.

Help me help you Very Happy.
