even though i know it's for my own good, it's hard not hating brady...
but yeah, glad you told me. him's mob doesn't really associate with mine's mob, but my nana will still turn all kinds of funny colours when she hears about this.
but yeah, that'd be great...
i'd like folk to pray that me and josh and possibly norman are able to get ourselfs baptised sometime soonish, that it all goes well, and hopefully other people will come into it too. |

About that,
I had a chat to Shane
Shane had a chat to his dad
Thursday we have 7 hours to do what we please, what better time to have a little meeting at the redshaws pool?
And yeah I've sorta felt a bit weird toward Brady a few times, which you could probably tell if you ever saw the way he acted around Becky and Jariah, or just in general, but yeah I don't hate him, but man I hate the sin!!!

Last i heard from dad he says that Vicki and Steve MUST be there otherwise he doenst want the baptism to go ahead. He said that since we're part of the youth group then the youth leaders should be there for it... makes sense  I really hope that everything goes ahead, i just really want to see it with everyone. I hope that our entire youth group can go.
Prayer request? I just pray that Elle's having fun on her holiday and that thursday goes really well

church camp, i'm fasting over the weekend so i'm abit nervous, and i'd appreciate it if folks could pray that i'll get a good result, plus praying for the meeting in general, safety, etc.
i'm not taking any sources of ignition at all, except a flashlight, but that's not really a proper source of ignition... in fact, the most mischievious thing i'm taking is a curled-up $20 note. |

And as for this...
Ever felt like you have been let down by God, Ben? Ever prayed really hard for something that you really wanted (that was in your best wishes) and never received it? Ever wanted it so hard, but never got it?
If you did this, and never got what you "wanted", did you blame God for it, even more or less go "God, why didn't you give me what I wanted?".
A thing you must understand is that something you really want or think you need, is perhaps is not what God tells you, that you need. Or if it is happens that God wants you to have it, it may not be in your timing, but His. That is what we often call faith and accepting that God has your interest at hand.
Basically what I am saying is that, praying that God moves in a certain situation is a lot better than praying for a certain something that YOU want and not end up getting it because it is not what God wants.
It may not be God's will for Eliza and Shane to get back together (sounds harsh, sorry), and we can not pray for God to bring them back together, because if he doesn't then the quote "God, why didn't you answer my prayers when I wanted him back" will certainly come up.

wilkins, seems that you're in error here.
how can you know what God's will is in this situation? you can't, unless somewhere in scripture it says, 'if thy name be-eth shane, thou shalt not make courtship with eliza'...
you cannot know the will of God but by His revelation. and if you know not the will of God, you have no grounds to say, 'do not pray for this, it is against God's will'.
i know for a fact that god loves us. his desire is to see us happy, and while sin leads ultimately to misery, anything that makes us happy and is not sinful, "every good gift is from God", is god's will.
god's will in this matter basically comes down to one thing, whether it will be good for humanity. if shane and eliza are benefited, so be it. if not, let no-one stand against His will, and accuse Him of doing wrong. but with these two things, let us pray.

I don't. Do you? What I am trying to say is that look at a little kid who prays that he can have a bajillion dollars. Does he ever get the bajillion dollars? Nope. Why? Because it is not in God's will for him to have a bajillion dollars.
