i suppose though we could do something like, first person to get mr naiker to kick them out of BDP, using only fire... we would have to use someone that didn't know what was going on...to eliminate bias.

not that i really want to know all that much about you elliott - from what i've seen i really dont share anything in common with you, we have very different ideas about things .... but that said i dont have anything against you, we just dont "mesh" well if you get what i mean

kate, you need to take a look at the river bank we were at last night, in particular paying attention to the several square metres of burned grass.
i'll give you some details of some of the lighter-based activities last night.
flicking lit matches into the river. setting the low-grass on fire whenever chris wasn't looking, letting it burn out in a ring, staring at said fire with shane, putting fires out by dropping my hat on it, burning wilkin's elbow, breaking into a paddock to raid a farmer's timber stocks for firewood, carrying a bit of blazing firewood halfway home, flicking embers and chunks of hot coal all over the road.
all in a total fire-ban, mind you...
shane will vouch for it all. adam's firestick and sunscreen don't have a chance...

i don't see why we should care... call me a cynic, but if she's not a christian, then she needn't have anything to do with christian doctrine. it does sting a little when you haven't done it yourself in awhile... we believe it grieves god, and by association grieves those close to him.
the font size wasn't the problem, more it was the colour, i.e, very very close to white. unreadable unless highlighted. what's the point?
so then, i'm the one for fire?
while we're on the topic for religion, i might post (extensively) as to my exact beliefs sometime... not now, i might mess it up. |

Because if I was not allowed to put that album cover of that Karma thing because it was labelled offencive by you and Chris, even though nobody in this forum is Bhuddist/ Hindu, and I am certainly not, then Kate should not be able to say the Lord's name in vain, with people here that find it offencive...
I'm not bagging Kate, its just a thing that I find a bit not nice that's all

1: There are people here of the faith in question
2: The thing in question offends some of the people of the faith in question.

I don't know if this will get you anywhere Matthew. I didn't like people swearing around me but asking them to stop hardly ever worked. I don't mind it anymore though. Ignoring doesn't work for you?
Oh and the album cover and people using the Lord's name in vain is quite different. You see the album cover was mocking the religion wasn't it? People using God's name in vain is just how they're used to talking, hard habit to get out of sometimes

The album was symbollicly butchering/severing a religion and its beliefs, more so than (like debbie said) a figure of speech.
