i don't really consider any moment to be more valuable than another just based on merits alone. call it a sort of psycho-cognitive socialism, the bad times are just as important as the good, even the middle times are necessary, because sometimes you just need to have a break from being super-happy, otherwise people would get sick of being around you.
it's all important, i think the only thing that determines how valuable a moment or memory is is how we choose to percieve it. you spill you milk, you say you have spilt your milk, this is bad. an optimist would tell you that oh no, you didn't break the glass so it's not all bad.
i'd like to think that god is an optimist. he said after all that the world is good, so i think there's hope for us yet. hope for us to understand how true that is, and why it's true. it's not just true because some of us believe in the bible, it's true because all of our memories put together basically make us who we are. we can either be happy with who we are, or we can change, either way unless we're lazy miserable fools it should come out for the improvement of ourselves and for the world.
penny, i'm serious about your farm too. i think it's a great idea and i can't see why the hell it shouldn't be followed through. |
